Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rafael van der Vaart declared himself ready to be placed in any position when defending the Dutch national team at Euro 2012.
As is known, the position of Van der Vaart in the squad is not expected to be too strong, considering there is Wesley Sneijder figure there. However, he believes he can be coupled in the field with the Inter Milan midfielder.
"I've heard it long enough. Since I've climbed the career at Ajax, 'whether Wesley (Sneijder) and Rafael can play together or not'," said Van der Vaart to Algemeen Dagblad.
"Sometimes it will pass on your thoughts, but I've been playing nearly as much as 100 times (for Holland)."
"I know what I did, and I will do anything to play, but I will not succumb to all the speculation, there's no point. Coach (Bert van Marwijk) selected 11 players, so I might or might not play."
"I may be placed in several different positions, on the left side, right side, as the number 10 or more in play. Wherever I play, I'll give you the best for the team."
