Ahead of time to helm the third game, Italy finally breathe easier after ensuring himself qualified for the quarterfinals of Euro 2012. Cesare Prandelli said his team for playing with heart.
Italy confirmed the break-out after their 2-0 win over the Republic of Ireland at the Municipal Stadium in Poznan, Tuesday (19/06/2012) pm dawn. The result left them collect five points from three matches and qualify as runners-up in Group C.
Italy also helped the escape of Spain versus Croatia match, in which Spain won 1-0 and became champion of the group which stood at seven points. Croatia to bite the fingers because they are just finishing in third place with four points.
"Suffering, joy, everything!" Prandelli said on Football Italia.
"This is a match that was very, very difficult. We faced a great team with great fans," he continued.
"This is sport. We have to suffer in some moments, but we deserve to achieve it," he said.
"Today we understand that we may be compromising quality, style and determination. We can achieve everything by heart," said Prandelli.
