Nikica Jelavic think Croatia have a chance to be a surprise team at Euro 2012 which starts tomorrow.
Croatia joined the group along with defending champion Spain, Italy, and Ireland. Will be a tough task to qualify for the fall, but Jelavic sure he and his teammates could happy fans.
"Our group is difficult, but there are no easy matches in the Euro," he told Everton's official website.
"We have a good team, good players and good coaches too. Hopefully we can perform well in the Euro because the Croatian community expects a lot of us."
"I am delighted to participate. This is my first big tournament and hopefully we can perform well. We have a good team and can achieve a positive outcome."
In the first match, Croatia to face Ireland. There are opportunities Jelavic deal with Everton team-mate, Darron Gibson.
"We are ready to face Ireland and I am happy to be called Darron join and participate," he added.
"Obviously I hope he just be a backup player because he's a very good player. I hope we win, but this is a difficult game. We've faced six times, I think, and we've only won once."
