Bilic Praised Croatia Struggle

Croatia coach, Slaven Bilic, sent a compliment to his team after a draw against Italy. He was pleased to see the fight tirelessly demonstrated by Luka Modric et al. While competing in Municipal Stadium, Poznan, Thursday (14/06/2012), Croatia conceded first after Andrea Pirlo free kick scored in the first round. After a pause, Bilic's men appeared very offensive. They are trying to find an equalizing goal and forced Italy to survive more.



Their hard work finally bear fruit sweet. Mario Mandzukic successfully exploit a golden opportunity in the 72nd minute to level the score. "Italy has again shown that they are a special team, but I have to congratulate my team who has demonstrated the will and character to fight in the second half," said Bilic on Sky Sports. Thanks to this victory, Croatia had a great chance to qualify to the quarterfinals because they have four points from two matches. Their fate will be determined at game contra Spain on Monday (6/18/2012). "I do not want to talk about the game against Spain. We still have plenty of time to analyze them," said Bilic was quoted the official UEFA website. "However, after two games this is a very good situation. Four points and I am very optimistic about the next game and the tournament overall. Six points will be better, but it also is good enough," said 43-year-old man.
