Sure Chiellini Will Recover Before Euro

Despite being injured, Giorgio Chiellini was worried about his chances for the Euro in 2012. He sure can recover in time and defend Italy from the first game. Chiellini suffered an injury playing for Juventus in Serie A last giornata against Atalanta. Suffered a thigh injury which is estimated to have made him pull over for 20 days.

Chiellini's name was included in the squad as prepared by Cesare Prandelli. But Juve defender suffered the injury that is feared to affect the chances of final squad entry in Italy. "Is there a risk I will not be called? Do not joke. I will be ready on time," said the Corriere dello Sport Chiellini told Football Italia. "If I did not take part in two friendly matches before the competition was just as wisdom." Before competing in the European Cup in 2012, Gli Azzurri will undergo two friendlies. Italy will face Luxembourg on May 29 and Russia on June 1. Italy joined in Group C along with defending champion Spain, Croatia, and Republic of Ireland. Italy will start the tournament against Spain on 10 June. "I want to be ready to face Spain on June 10th and I'll be ready," he said.
