Russia coach Dick Advocaat, rejected the notion that a 1-1 draw against Poland gained because his team was too confident after a big win over the Czech Republic in the first game.
Melakoni both in Group A, Alan Dzagoev bring Russia ahead in the first 37 minutes. However, Poland successfully equalized early in the second half through captain Jakub Blaszczykowski.
Advocaat was denied his team the upper hand from Poland. Given, his opponent look less impressive in the first game by squandering a 10-man at the start against Greece before finally sharing the numbers 1-1.
"No, nothing to do with it. The first game ended 4-1. Second game as the away games and the equalizing goal with a beautiful place," said Advocaat said.
"If your objective then the game was running great. Russia had more ball possession. Playing as a team to face Poland's difficult. Both teams played well," he added.
Even so, Advocaat thinks his team will win the game because play is considered better than the home team.
"I think the Russians played better today than Poland, but that is a very good match. We played very well to get good results."
"You know they (Poland) supported by 40 thousand people, so it's a big advantage. Score 1-1 is nice but I think Russia will win 1-0 because we control the game," said the Dutchman is.
