French coach Laurent Blanc said he was satisfied with his side when defeat Serbia in a trial match. Even so, Les Bleus still need to make improvements before Euro 2012 starts.
Diving the last test before the tournament starts at Stade Auguste Delaune II this morning, the French arrested Serbia 2-0 thanks to goals from Franck Ribery and Florent Malouda.
"We're trying to get a perfect performance, but there is no such thing," said Blanc told TF1.
"We showed a better fitness than against Iceland, but we're not ready. We were a little disappointing in the last 15 minutes, but overall I was pleased with the performance of the team," he continued.
The match was also marred by the injury caused by contact with Yann M'Vila Dusan Tadic. Rennes midfielder's it should be pulled out of the field to be replaced by Alou Diarra in the fifth minute.
According to team doctor Fabrice Bryant, M'Vila have keselo on his ankle and requires further examination. Blanc is optimistic his players will recover in time to appear in the first group stage match against England.
"We think he will recover in time for the first match. His participation in the tournament out of the question," said Blanc.
