Carles Puyol is almost certainly fail to strengthen Spain in Euro 2012. Understandably, Barcelona has just announced it will perform knee surgery Puyol, Saturday (12/05/2012).
Puyol takes a minimum of six weeks to rehabilitate his physical condition. Practically, the 34-year-old will miss the Copa Del Rey final against Athletic Bilbao on 25 May. To be sure, a big problem for the Spanish squad ahead of the Ukraine-Poland 2012.
Coach "La Furia Roja", Vicente Del Bosque, will announce the initial squad for a week to go. Final team member will be broadcast on May 27. And, assistant coach Tony Grande pessimists Puyol will pass the test condition of health at that time.
"There's no way Puyol recover in time. Impossible," said Grande.
World and European champions were joined in the Grip C. They will open his adventures at Euro 2012 with a wait on the legendary team, Italy, on June 10. Next, Spain will face the Republic of Ireland and Croatia. Three rivals and Spain Puyol clearly needs experience.
Teammate Puyol, Cesc Fabregas, had sent his motivation pitched.
"Cepar recovered @ Carles5puyol. We will miss you but you will be back in time is uncertain," tweet Cesc.
Previously, Spain had the problem quite heavy when David Villa was reported seriously injured playing for Barcelona in the Club World Cup last December. Del Bosque himself gave special importance to the all-time top scorer in Spain. Spain coach will wait for the healing Villa until the last minute.
"Villa have joined the team for regular training. It must be demonstrated significant progress," said Javier Minano, the team doctor.
"We have met a few days ago and the recovery process on schedule. I am optimistic about the chances of his recovery," said Minano again.
